Israel's embassy in Singapore has published a list of 63 countries and territories potentially eligible for the B/2 electronic tourist visa, which currently works only for Indians and Sri Lankans. The government portal has not yet been updated to match this announcement, so eligibility remains unclear.
What was announced
On October 23, 2026, the Israeli Embassy in Singapore released a list of 63 countries and territories whose citizens may soon be able to apply for Israel's B/2 electronic tourist visa online. The list includes 15 Asian nations (including India and Sri Lanka), 42 African countries, and 6 nations in the Americas.
The B/2 e-Visa launched in January 2025 for Indian nationals only and was extended to Sri Lankans in June 2025. An expansion would allow tourists from many more countries to apply online instead of visiting a consulate.
The problem: announcement and reality don't match
The Israeli government's entry portal (PIBA) still describes the B/2 e-Visa as a pilot program available only to Indian and Sri Lankan residents of their home countries. When other nationalities attempt to apply using the portal, they receive a blocking message.
Additionally, the list includes some countries whose citizens already enjoy visa-free entry to Israel and must use a different authorization system (ETA-IL) instead of a visa. This suggests the embassy list may contain errors or was released before final verification.
What to do now
If you are from one of the 63 listed countries, wait for official confirmation from Israeli authorities before planning to use the e-Visa system. Continue following the eligibility rules currently enforced on the government portal. Contact your nearest Israeli diplomatic mission for the most up-to-date guidance on your visa options. No implementation date has been announced.
